Our Process

The consultation appointment will be scheduled for one hour. Please come with your Ideas, reference images, and an idea of your budget.

We will discuss the following during your Consultation:

  • Your ideas for your dream gown
  • Budget
  • Timeline
  • Fabrics and trims (samples of base fabrics and Types of lace)
  • Add-ons (veils, garters etc.)
  • Measurements

 

Please send your images to us before your consultation. This helps to get an idea of what you are looking for to assist with preparation for the consultation.

 

All estimates are subject to change, and are calculated by using high quality materials and Workmanship.
Cost is also determined by calculating the amount of hours needed to create your gown.

This highly depends on the style of dress you want to have made. Our general rule is 6 – 10 months before you want to collect the gown from our studio. This time frame is just a guideline, and a more exact timeline will be discussed during consultation. Rush orders are possible with a timeline dependent rush fee.

Wear the correct undergarments – This is very important to get the most accurate measurements. Even if you want a built-in bra support in your dress, I still need to get an accurate bust circumference.
Please wear (bring with) a snug fitted tank top – I will be making reference marks on your body with string and/or an erase-able marking pen.
We handle every client discreetly and professionally and take high regard to make sure you are comfortable at all times.

The main determining factors are:

  • Silhouette
  • Type of fabric used
  • Inner construction
  • Amount of fine detailing and lace

Our gowns are made from scratch for each client. From the pattern which is drafted to your measurements, to the design and embellishments. Each gown can take hundreds of hours to construct. Our most basic gowns take at least 50 hours to create and the time investment increases from there depending on the complexity of your style.


Extras such as lace, embellishments, custom detailing, embroidery, applique, beading, sleeves, longer trains, layers will impact the price.
All gowns are handed off in a dress bag or box.

  • Weekdays during business hours: R350
  • Weekends during business hours: R450
  • After hour consultation fee: R550
  • Missed Appointment fee: R200

No appointment will be booked before a consultation fee has been received.

If you are more than 20 minutes late without letting us know or making necessary arrangements, you will automatically forfeit your scheduled appointment and will have to book a new slot.

Missing an appointment without prior communication will result in a penalty fee of R200 – this will be added to your final invoice.
